Training Dogs With Flashcards in 2012
|
Our StorySit Up N Listen Dog Training focus has always been vested in helping pet owners acquire the tools and training to experience a positive and rewarding relationship with their dog.
As a Sit Means Sit (SMS) certified trainer, and over 15 years of training dogs, I realized if I said "sit" the dog sat. If I said "heel" the dog heeled. With "sound buttons" (by FluentPet) dogs can choose commands and when they want to train. Dogs can also express how they feel during training which is so rewarding. In 2024, Sit Up N Listen is starting a new chapter innovating new methods and ideas to help families build a stronger relationship with their dogs. Using traditional dog training methods in conjunction with Augmentative Interspecies Communication (AIC) device "talking dog buttons" dogs have a voice in the training process. Giving dogs a choice by using "sound buttons" allows dogs to express their wants, needs, and feeling. This builds a stronger bond with humans, as well as, shared leadership. I’m hoping to meet a few dog lovers that share the vision to incorporate AIC (Augmentative Interspecies Communication) sound buttons into their training program. Ruby, Standard PoodleRuby is my 8-years old (February, 2025). She came into my life when she was 8-weeks old. At 6-months old, she became my demonstration dog for Sit Up N Listen Dog Training. Ruby completed my 2-week board and train program at 6-months-old. Afterwards, Ruby traveled daily in Atlanta and later North Georgia demonstrating to potential customers off-leash and on-leash skills.
In November, 2024 I pivoted in the realm of dog training. After ordering from FluentPet their Connect Get Started With Base Kit, I worked with Ruby teaching her "talking dog buttons" It was a wonderful experience to see Ruby "talk" with me about her wants, needs and feelings. I learned she really likes training as "training buttons--foot, heel, walk" are some of her favorite buttons. She also uses her "mom" and "love you" frequently. It melts your heart. Ruby's "talking dog buttons" journey can be found on YouTube and Sit Up N Listen Facebook page. |
