Training Dogs With Flashcards in 2012
|
Founding StorySit Up N Listen Dog Training focus has always been vested in helping pet owners acquire the tools and training to experience a positive and rewarding relationship with their dog. I’m a Sit Means Sit (SMS) certified remote collar trainer. I've developed my own style of training incorporating positive, scientific, relationship-based and electronic.
Sit Up N Listen is starting a new chapter in 2024 innovating new methods and ideas to help families build a stronger relationship with their dogs. Using traditional dog training methods in conjunction with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) "talking dog buttons" dogs can choose their participation level in the training process. As a SMS trainer, and over 15 years of training dogs, I realized I always made the decisions. If I said "sit" the dog sat. If I said "heel" the dog heeled. With "sound buttons" (by FluentPet) a dog can now choose what commands they want to do and whether they want to do it now or later. Giving dogs a choice by using "sound buttons" allows dogs to express their wants, needs, and feeling. This builds a stronger bond with humans, as well as, shared leadership. I’m hoping to meet a few dog lovers that share the vision to incorporate AIC (Augmentative Interspecies Communication) sound buttons into their training program. |
